Food was pretty good I had the fish and chips. The bread was like a crisp crust, not the typical heavy oily breading like chicken wing. But it is not a light crust, so if that is what you prefer then you may not like it. Fish was really hot, and well cooked. It could have used a little more seasoning though. French fries are the old school style, nice and tasty but cool off quickly. Fry sauce was good almost like a cowboy sauce. Nice place to eat, food is good, the lady behind the counter is fun and friendly. I ordered a burger without the bun no onion or tomato, it was brought out on a tray and everything on wax paper, nicely setup. So they do accommodate how you want it. I'm gonna try the King Louie soon I keep telling myself maybe next time. Only downside might be the bathrooms out around back and I think you have to ask for a key. All American great burgers and fries. Great diner style burgers on the flattop grill all crispy on the outside but not dry or overcooked. The fries are kind of home style with the peel still on the ones from the very outside of the potato. The hostess/cashier/waitress was simply magnificent, and beautiful. I am entirely happy with this place. I hope to soon try the fish chips.

The lovely couple that own the place run it with a smile, and they'll tell you exactly when your order will be ready. Even put my shake in the freezer to keep it nice and cold until I got there when I ordered ahead via their website.

By’s is a Sodo staple for burgers and fish and chips. The owner is incredibly sweet and welcoming and I’ve never had bad food from here. Easily the best burger spot in the area (there aren’t a lot other than really bad fast food) so if you’re in the mood, give By’s a try! Support a local business
Got fish and chips. Some fries had the taste of potato peel. The fish at first seemed alright but then I noticed parts of it were watery. No restroom.
