we had a bad experience here. this plate with an extremely small sandwich and small bowl was $19. I was shocked how little food I received for the price. we sat outside on a table with stains over it (foto attached.) we saw how others came and were also sat on dirty tables. when the host sat in us, she looked at our table with the stains, but never offered to clean it and simply leave it. a couple that sat 10 minutes after us had greeted and ordered the server before us and received their food before us. I specifically asked if the gluten-free brot was a white brot, and the server said it was. When it came out, it was a multigran bread and the server said they were from the white gluten-free...
My family and I came here about a month ago for a belated Mother's Day brunch. I decided to go with the Eggs Benedict, as I'd never had it before and wanted to try it. Now I will admit, I was a bit nervous trying something new at a restaurant I'd never been to before. Well, I was nervous for no reason, because the dish was absolutely fantastic, it absolutely blew me away. My dad kept saying he should've ordered it . Everyone loved their food, and it was actually a quiet meal, due to how much we all enjoyed our food. This place was beautiful and unique in design. Food was great but sadly the service was subpar : for the price we paid for our plates we should have received our food in shorter time than 40 minutes. It is Easter Sunday and they can be busy but we noticed a table receive their plates sooner than ours and there was only a 5 minute difference of arrival time. I hope they can improve their customer service as our waitress kept forgetting to bring out what we requested water, scones jam) but was quick with other tables : left us feeling unhappy and second class.
The food was just meh, I could have lived with my fish and chips being just ok but the burger my 92 year old dad got was not good and he doesn’t ever complain about food. The cocktail had good flavor but maybe half a shot of vodka and there was a hair on the sour cream container my husband got with his baked potato. After waiting close to ten minutes for the waitress to return after giving us the check we decided to pay cash and be done. Waited 10 minutes to be seated, approximately 15 customers in restaurant, around 7pm on Friday night. Finally seated on back porch, it smelt badly, like old shoes. We were only customers in room. 15 minutes later our drink order was taken. 20 minutes later we said forget it left. Walked around found the Two Barrel across the street had a wonderful dinner. Cabbage Patch get it together or give it up!
Came here for my daughter's sweet 16 dinner all dressed up and everyone took the time to tell her she looked fantastic and like a princess which is what she was going for). And the entire restaurant sang happy birthday to her!! The staff is amazing the atmosphere is fun and quirky and the food oh my goodness the food was amazing!! And the pies .... All the deserts were to die for!
