Cafe 1900 - Reservar una mesa

After a wonderful stroll through beautiful downtown of Marburg, we found this cute little restaurant with seating outside, where people were just served super yum looking dishes that made us hungry instantly. The kids had pizza, and we ordered from the Auflauf menu, three different pasta dishes baked with mozarella that resulted in the yummiest cheese crust. We could tell that the dishes were freshly made, and the tagliatelle pasta was made in house. The portions were huge, and the prices were small (on average a large pasta bowl with cheese on top was around 7 Euro). The portions were so huge that we weren 't able to finish them. But the restaurant staff was super nice and offered take home...

Nice cafe with reasonable prices. Food had its ups and downs. Pizza was very cheesy but so much so it wasn’t totally baked. Homemade noodles were sexologist, but the side of balsamic, which crept into the food whether you wanted it or not, was weird. Pfefferlinge Auflauf was good, but I think they put the wrong sauce on. It was supposed to be with oil, but it came with tomato sauce, which drowned the mushrooms.

The best Auflauf in Marburg! Also I would recommend to try “Hausgemachte Bandnudeln”. I have visited Cafe 1900 a lot of times, and this is the best place to eat in Marburg.

We were walking on the street and saw the dishes on the tables! So, we decided to stop and try some typical german food! We made the right decision!

We stopped in for a drink and a bite to eat and there was a nice vibe in here. The staff were great and for was excellent.
