We loved everything about this charming restaurant. The atmosphere was quaint and inviting. The service was impeccable and friendly. The food….. just wow!! Everything we ordered was amazing. The appetizer special was a terrine with cranberries and pecans accompanied by a peach preserve and baguette. We also had the Escargots, which were probably the best I can remember ever having. The entrees we ordered were the Salmon Wellington, Ratatouille en croute with Merguez Sausage and Nage de Saint-Jacques (Bouillabaisse). All incredibly fresh and delicious!! This restaurant is absolutely delicious! The food, service, and atmosphere are all wonderful. We had never been here before, but we were pleasantly surprised by how much we enjoyed it. I ordered the crepe special of the day with couscous, asparagus, apricot, chicken, and sausage. My daughter had the pasta with ham. We shared some bread as an appetizer, and I finished off the meal with a rose macaron for dessert. I highly recommend visiting this restaurant when you're in Decatur - we will definitely be returning!
We were looking for a new, interesting place and came across Cafe Alsace. This is a small, quiet little french restaurant that feels like a piece of France was dropped in the middle of Decatur Square. I have a love of escargot in Garlic and Parsley butter, so I had to order theirs. To my delight, it came out with as many slices of their homemade baguette as escargots (6). I went to this restaurant for my birthday and had a wonderful experience. The atmosphere was inviting and allowed us to enjoy our delicious meal and good company in a timeless setting. The restaurant seemed very child-friendly, although I did not see any children during my visit. I imagine they would be treated well here.

Had the most pleasant experience. Both the waitress and owner gave us excellent service. The food did not disappoint. The beef Wellington was incredible while being reasonably priced. The chicken breast was great too. Do not pass up an opportunity to come here and make sure to split a bottle of wine with company.

Absolutely lovely little place. So so charming. The food was delicious and the people were so friendly. Thought it was cool that it's the oldest restaurant in the downtown Decatur area! Definitely will come back!
i’ve only ever been for lunch but it’s the best food i’ve ever had. i can’t stay away. the waitresses are sweet and professional even when it’s super busy and the whole place is adorable

Great restaurants in Decatur and this one is at the top. The food is fantastic as is the service. We took a couple from New Orleans to have lunch there and they raved about it.
Sat down for nearly 15 min didn’t even get acknowledged.
