This only gets 2 instead of 1 because half of our team were eventually served with a half decent meal, however the other 6 of us who had walked into town 10 mins behind were professionally ignored despite arriving at 1.20 pm so even in France, just in time for lunch. Having obtained menus from our friends we were in a position to order food and drinks. The clearly overworked waitress cleared the remnants of the coffees left by our predecessors and I expected a swift return, didn 't happen, so I went inside and asked in my best (less than schoolboy) french if we could have some service. I was answered in machine gun French and explained that my french was not very good so I didn 't understand...

helpful at any time of the day,no matter how big the party or just the tte two of us, I hae also been there on a french farmers course and they had no probleme avec la table longue!

The wine is expensive at the weekend when carafe wine isn't available. The food is good, if you get what you ordered. The service is quite good but impersonal.

Food was OK no better, no worse but service was desperately slow even when the cafe was quiet. Good range of Paulaner beers.

Pleasant service, good choice of menus; food more than adequate, professionally if a little unimaginatively cooked.
