Visiting Lagrasse is never a chore. Last time we missed this place for some reason. We stopped in for coffee when we arrived. We liked the vibe, seemed like locals were in so we came back for lunch. We were not disappointed. For a reasonable price we had 3 course lunch which was fresh with generous portions in each serving. The staff were very pleasant and efficient. By the time we tucked into our mains there were no seats left. In mid November it wasn’t all visitors so it must be doing something right. We were very happy with our choice. We weren’t looking for a high end memorable meal. What we got was a good Café meal and good service at a reasonable price. The local wines was good too. No problem coming back on this visit.
We were rather late getting there for lunch, and most of the tables were full, so we sat at a table which was not laid for lunch. When the waitress eventually came for our order, she told us that we could only order lunch from one of the made up tables, so we moved to the last one, unfortunately not as shady though. The restuarant was full, and the waitress was rushed off her feet, so the service was slow, but we did manage to order and the food was OK. However, it got much too hot sitting in the sun so, as diners left and shady tables became vacant, we moved to be in the shade again, only to observe that the table we had originally occupied had diners eating at it, despite being told that no meals would be served there!
Went here for lunch with two others. We chose the busiest eaterie on the high street thinking if it was full of locals it would be good , and it was ! We ordered from the set menu of the day which offered 3 courses for €13. Service was a bit slow if I was being picky but the place was full. A beautiful setting on a tree lined avenue , so there are worse places to have a drink while waiting for your dinner ! Overall food quality was very good, all food was well cooked and well presented. A nice eating experience and I would happily return !
