Cafe Burgstraße

Was hard to find places open for breakfast when we visited, but managed to come across Cafe Burgstasse. Glad we did as they have a great breakfast buffet for euro. Large selection of cold cuts meats and bread ensured that we didn't leave hungry....Coffee was fairly good also. Busy with locals enjoying breakfast or getting their morning bakery needs.

Stopped in for coffee on a windy and cold morning and discovered a wide range of coffee served and the best hot chocolate we have had for a long time. Deceptively large interior or could have sat outside covered in the sheepskin rugs provided. Friendly,...welcoming service. Little English spoken but enough. Obviously very popular with local people.

The owner of the apartment where we stayed in Wernigerode told us about this place. They have a wonderful breakfast buffet for Euro including coffee or drinks). We like it so much after we ate here the first time that we went back...twice more. Great value, friendly service and cheery decor. No complaints at all.

We came for breakfast and enjoyed the buffet for roughly Euro. This was good value. The coffee was reasonable, the cafe comfortable and the buffet was a good choice. Have taken points off because the buffet didn't have bacon! Otherwise, this place was a...good find and I recommend it to other tourists.

Break fast here is the best in town, for Euros there is a selection of hot and cold food all delicious. We liked it all but the apple mousse was superb!
