Cafe Conditorei Raimitz

Today, when we strolled around Krems and stopped by Cafe Raimtz for afternoon tea. This is a very fun place to stop by and got the best pastry I ever had in the last 7 days staying in Durnstein. The Schmidl bakery's pastry in Durnstein...is no comparison to Raimitz. The pastry in Raimitz is light and not sweet. The pastries we got from Schmidl were so sweet and heavy that I needed to throw them away. Raimtz cafe has 3 locations in Krems. When you stay or visit Wachau Valley around Kerms, go to get its pastries. Now it was too late for us to bring the pastries back to Durnstein for our enjoyment since we will leave for Vienna tomorrow.

I have found that the three Raimitz locations in Krems have the best apple strudel and other pastries in Krems. Each are conveniently located with the largest being near the railway station. Enjoy your pastry with an exceptional coffee. My favorites are the Wiener Melange...or the Cafe Latte with Caramel. I have found everything from quality, service, cleanliness, and value to be exceptional.

They almost always have a delicious Vegan Cake, very traditional Austrian cake shop so a good place for tourists to experience it: ! Updated from the previous review on 2021-09-21

The best coffee house in Krems. Deliciously homemade pastry and ice cream. Very friendly staff. Charming atmosphere in both two coffee houses.
