Of course it is so charming to sit at the other cafe in the pedestrian area. Unfortunately, that cafe is pretty mediocre. Raimitz (close to the train station), serves delicious pastries and cakes, as well as excellent coffee. I tasted multiple cakes and every single one was delicious with the Streuselkuchen being a little sweet. The Kardinalschnitte was the best one I have tried to date, catapulting me back to my childhood. It was so good, I even forgot to take a photo... Services was Austrian standard. Definitely going back.
Every single cake, pastry, and torte looked perfect and tasted just as good. The regional specialties are a highlight including the topfenstrudel (cheese), poppyseed with pear and cranberry cake, and variety of sweets with locally grown apricots. Inside seating is comfortable, but the outside seating is a must on a particularly fine spring day.
they have vegan cakes that are quite rare for traditional caffes like these. I had a delicious apple cake, the other option would have been a chocolate mousse cake I did not try. it seems that they have different cakes depending on day, so just ask them!

The diversity of cakes and pastries is big. The cakes tasted quiet good, the drinks were also nice. A calm place and a nice way to spend an afternoon with friends/ family.

The best coffee house in Krems. Deliciously homemade pastry and ice cream. Very friendly staff. Charming atmosphere in both two coffee houses.
We ate at the Bahnhofplatz' cafe. Very unfriendly staff. You can eat good desserts in a cafe with unpleasant and unfriendly staff.
