We had been meaning to visit this place for some time, having had it recommended to us as a must do. We weren't disappointed! We had our dog with us so sadly we weren't able to sit in the back room where the spectacular coastal views are. Nevertheless we were quite happy with our allocated table in the front window. We loved the Art Deco features and the ambience. We ordered nachos to share, which arrived with guacamole, salsa and sour cream dips. The nachos were warm and delicious. I found several good vegetarian options and chose the black dhal with cauliflower and steamed rice. My husband had the sticky beef. Both our meals arrived promptly and also piping hot. Very tasty and no complaint...
Went for lunch recently. It's a nice place, great views from window tables. However first there were not many vegetarian options the soup was chicken. I dont understand why, if there's only one soup on offer, they can't make it without meat which would suit everyone. Secondly, the service was very poor. I had to ask twice to place my order and the waitresses were less than helpful, almost grudgingly serving us. It's a shame as would be so much better.
I visited this restaurant twice during my recent holiday. On the first day, I stopped by for a few drinks at a table next to the bar. The bartender was wonderful. The next morning, I returned for a delicious breakfast in the dining area, where I was seated at a table with stunning views overlooking the water. The staff were very friendly. I will definitely come back if I'm in the area again.
We had a fantastic time celebrating my husband's 70th birthday with friends and family at this restaurant. There were 22 of us and the staff were amazing. The food was delicious and this remains one of our favorite places to eat. Everyone had a great time thanks to the fabulous food and excellent service. Thank you to the Laurie team for a brilliant experience.

Usual place closed so we came here for change. We wanted coffee and scones. Served immediately and order taken before we even sat down. So quick we ordered coffee and never had chance to look and see if they had scones. My friend went up and added scones to order. Not home made but nice enough and again drinks came quick! Nice atmosphere but wouldn't rush back
We had a lovely table looking onto the water we had coffees a jug of water! One order was a baked potato chilli the most generous size ever the other was the chicken Schwarma on a flatbread with salad … absolutely delicious ! A lovely late lunch as always great service great food we will return!
A lovely mid week dinner, the Mac and cheese was delicious. There was a nice atmosphere in the cafe. The staff were friendly. The food was reasonably priced. We will definitely return again soon and would highly recommend this place for a meal.
Few bars are situated right on the River Clyde. The cafe continental probably has the best view of the few that do. A must go to destination for any one visiting the Glasgow area to take in a sunny afternoon.

The restaurant was not a pleasant experience due to dirty cups, smelly toilets, cold scrambled eggs, and unfriendly serving staff.
