The food is amazing fresh, local, seasonal and delicious! This is a family run village restaurant, with a small team of dedicated staff, in an unpretentious setting, and a nice outdoor eating area in summer. We went here for our wedding lunch and go back...when our purses allow it's on the pricey side, but well worth it. Good fondu, hunter menu in autumn, delicious fish in summer, and a berry, double Gruyere cream and meringue dessert also in the summer which is simple and sublime. Our favourite restaurant in the Geneva area. Good for couples, families and entertaining friends from out of town.
Probably the best game menu in the Geneva area. They also make an excellent fondue, in my opinion better than the way overrated Café du Soleil 's one. The interior decoration is oldish and very basic (typical countryside bistro), but they have a nice 'al fresco '...terrace in summer, the food is simple but very natural and of great quality ,and prices are very reasonable. Service is also very good and friendly. Besides you will get to see one of the smallest and charming villages in the Geneva countryside with a magnificent hillview over a beautiful valley.
Having recently moved into the village and speaking very little French everything is a challenge, including a trip to the local restaurant. However the welcome at Cafe d'Avusy and patience with my poor grasp of the language put me and my guests at ease. The...cafe is intimate and homely although busy enough that a reservation is recommended. The food is fabulous with unexpected subtle flavours coming through the dressings and sauces. The ingredients are clearly fresh and of high quality. Thank you Cafe d'Avusy for a lovely lunch and see you again soon.
This country side restaurant has rightfully built up a strong reputation throughout the year, but especially during the game season Chef Yves Casanova has this year turned 400 kilos of bones into 40 litres of game sauce and serves a delicious terrine of wild boar,...and two iconic game dishes: civet de chevreuil and médaillons de chevreuil. Pas facile de trouver un Resto ouvert le dimanche soir. Chez Casa l'accueil est toujours chaleureux, les plats sont maison, de saison et cuisinés avec amour.Les desserts le sont aussi, pour moi une petite préférence pour sa coupe Danemark servie avec de la vrai chantilly et une petite saucière de chocolat chaud ( du vrai... Pas du topping industriel) on peux alors arroser la glace à sa gise...un véritable bonheur pour les gourmands.
Nous nous sommes rendus dans ce restaurant aujourd'hui midi. Accueil généreux, apéritif délicieux, mets succulents. La terrasse très agréable, un chef super sympa. Ambiance chaleureuse. Une patronne aux petits soins. Nous avons qu'une envie c'est de revenir pour déguster une fondue.
yves casanowa has a call to keep when it comes to the game season (la chasse). with a great terrine or a delicious mushroom soup as starter, the main course of chevreuil or lièvre...top-notch is a very friendly service making this a place to come and back before the game runs out.
