We visited this place some time back and we really did not enjoy our food. So we dodged it for a long time after. However, friends started telling us that it was not too bad and we should give it another go, so we did....Four of us went for dinner and we ordered just mains. Three steaks and a fish dish. The steaks were okay, not exceptional but okay. My friend who ordered the fish dish wasn’t over impressed, but again it wasn’t unpleasant. This little café is really worth a visit. It’s great for good coffee and my husband and I usually sit outside (if it’s not raining) and watch the world go by. It’s situated on a main road and opposite the now disused railway station, but...that doesn’t seem to matter. A friend and I decided to try Café de la Gare for lunch this week and we were pleasantly surprised. The interior is spotlessly clean and brightly decorated with multi-coloured striped table cloths. The two ladies who run the café are friendly and attentive. There is also a full bar, beside which well-behaved regulars sup and chat. April A delicious meal, fresh produce, well cooked and all the charm you would want in a traditional French bistro. The owners/staff are friendly and welcoming. We had the menu de jour, mine -warm goats cheese salad, grilled lamb with wild rice and...vegetables then creme brûlée. Three course Meal for two with a pitcher of wine and coffee less than Euro, Visited again in Sept delicious sardines in cheese sauce starter quirky presentation in the tin;, grilled steak entrecôte; husband enjoyed liver and onions. It’s going to be a regular for us!

Not a fancy restaurant, but extremely good traditional french food in good quantities. Went here for lunch mid-week. We got there at and just as well we did, as it soon filled up with local workers coming for their lunches. It has a small...menu with a choice of or dishes per course. We had breakfast here a few times as it was adequate fresh and value for money, we then ventured onto lunch and evening meals which were varied and excellent value for money. Situated perfectly on the main boulevard, the staff are fluent in most languages,...with the added bonus if you so desire of quiz night and bingo, please try you will definitely be pleased.

My sister an I ate there in We did not ask to see the wine list as I asked for. Pitcher of red wine. We had two half litres and when the bill came they charged euro. a half litre. This was...our first night of holiday and finding that everywhere else charged euro for a half litre we never returned!

This is exactly what I want going to restaurant: nice food, (I think) local products, a good glass of wine. You kind of know when local people go there... Friendly staff, small card (which I think is a good thing), and really tasty food. Desserts...are heavenly... We stopped by a few times...

We have eaten here on a number of occasions and never been disappointed. The Menu du Jour is excellent value and delicious. The price of the wine was certainly not expensive and our opinion is that the experience of eating at the Cafe de la...Gare should not be missed Reserva una mesa ahora

We have never had a bad meal here. As a person on holiday, you might look in the window and decide to pass on it, but don't. Good food, good service, good price.

Home made simple dishes. The new owner has changed many things. Here is not a lot of choice but it is good value.
