Cafe De La Paix

This is a cafe on the corner of the square, next to the War Memorial, between the church and the main pedestrian shopping street. It has dark brown wooden panelled walls with photos of 1950s film stars, formica tables and a collection of grizzled regulars who all know each other. The cast of 'Allo, 'Allo would feel at home here.It is a bar that serves drinks and food is limited to half a baguette filled with whatever is in the 'fridge. If you can speak a little of the language, sit back and try and keep up with banter. I hope the 80ish lunchtime Stella Artois swigging Granny is still there for your entertainment.

The french don't usually do snacks ,preferring to waste ski time by spending an hour having a proper meal. This little place,located beneath the ski pass office and adjacent to the car park,is a welcome exception doing snack food making a quick meal stop an...option

Food was great and delicious. Service was very good friendly server made our experience perfect. We will go back again when we return to Geneva.
