We dined at several good restaurant-cafes during our trip, but the only one we visited more than once was Cote Terrasse in the captivating town of Seguret. You can reserve a table for lunch or dinner, or take coffee or a glass of wine or...beer while relaxing in the charming courtyard or the terrace bar (located the next street up, with a glorious sunset view of the valley). The dishes we tasted were all delicious and beautifully presented, with generous portions as well. Service was quick and friendly, the atmosphere quiet and unhurried; very much a neighborhood-bistro feel with locals dining next to us. But the reason we returned was the warm and welcoming service we received, from all of the staff but especially from Magali, who we met on our first afternoon coffee and who made us feel right at home from start to finish. Two days later we asked for a dinner table for the same night and, even though they were already fully booked, the maitre d'hotel quickly arranged for an overflow table to be set up for us. It's hard to put into words just how much these hospitable gestures can mean when you've been traveling for a while and are aching for a bit of familiarity and home-feel. And this is what we felt we received, from the front of house to the young man who refilled our water bottle with a smile. We appreciated it all so very much, and will gladly make another trip next time to Seguret just to enjoy another meal at Cote Terrasse!
On holiday in Provence in July we went as a family(6 adults and 4 children) to a prebooked lunch at the Cote Terrasse in Seguret.Not an easy place to find on your first visit..our sat nav finally ended up guiding us through the vines on...a single track road,fortunately meeting no oncoming traffic.If deciding on a second visit next year,I would have no problem in finding my way to the restaurant. Although 15 mins late,we were. Given a very warm welcome and shown to the last unoccupied table (booking is essential).The menu is very comprehensive,coping for all tastes.Salade Provençal,Saumon Tartare,BBQ pork chops,Lamb shank,Steaks,all tastefully presented.This was followed by cheeses and desserts.Our four youngsters found that the menu provided chicken,burgers,ice cream and enough time for the I phones and I pads!!! Two litres of Rose wine,San Pelligrino for the drivers and Cokes for the rest rounded off another very enjoyable Provence lunch celebration....Five Star visit
