Cafe Du Commerce - Reserva de mesa

I was with a small group of people who were on vacation in the area and this seemed a convenient café in which to have an evening meal. Not a good choice. I can, of course, only comment on the meals ordered at our table - the pizza was just about the worst I have ever had: the omelettes were more akin to thick pancakes and the 'aubergine crumble' was, so I was told by my wife, quite weird. I have been to this café before but only for liquid refreshment - for that it was OK but I will not be going back for a sit-down meal. Incidentally, be warned: - one can only pay cash or with a cheque drawn on a French bank. No credit or debit cards are acceptable.

We arranged to meet friends here as it was an easy place to find. The service was fairly prompt, but the drinks order was incorrect on two occasions. The servers were apologetic, and did correct on one of the occasions. We all ordered the plat du jour which was advertised as entrecot. Never in my life have I had such a tough piece of meat; I was unable to eat it as I was unable to cut it, even though I did have a steak knife! Of the other three steaks, one was OK, but the other two were tough, but not as tough as mine. If you visit, steer clear of the steaks!

sitting outside for a few drinks and had to go inside to order the next on two occasions. They were not overrun with customers and the lady serving did bring our drinks outside to us each time I ordered. It seemed like her husband was sitting on his bum playing with his apple and giving orders. We went inside to see if we could get a table for dinner but left after standing around for 10 minutes without anyone approaching us. They could have made a lot more money that night but didn't seem interested.

A lovely bar/restaurant in the town serving fantastic Pizzas and the biggest steaks we have ever had cooked in front of you on an open Brasserie.We ate here twice during our 4 day stay in Montoleiu .The waiter Jean Claude was very helpful and friendly .The locals local pit stop speaks for itself.Would we go again ? Beef daube with chips and salad was just what we needed on a cold day. Pleasant service. Only comment is that the area we sitting in at the back lacked heating and was chilly. Meal served quickly and was exactly the stop off we wanted on way to Carcassonne.

This is a pleasant place for lunch and an ice cream. We sat under sun umbrellas and in the shade of trees on a hot day, then strolled around the fascinating town.

Excellent food and service. Very reasonably priced. The staff were very welcoming and always good when you see a place frequented by local folks.

Piza genial. Paramos de casualidad. Vale la pena. Very nice pizza. We stop by chance and it surprise it. ..........,,,,,,,,,

Stopped by here for a quick snack and a drink while passing through Montolieu. Good food and service.
