Tried to book, but told to call back tomorrow as they were busy (had to check I understood his French correctly as I have never had that before). Tried to ask for small portion of pasta as only steak hache on the childrens menu, but...received full adult portion (may have been my French but had never had to try to hard to get small portions with previous owners and thought it was obvious as she is only this meant she was a little intimidated by it, but we never received the small plate we had asked for). Came here for lunch on a trip to the Lac de St. Croix. New owners who were very keen to make sure everything was correct. Will be a hard act to follow as Bernard and Gudrun have run this place for years. They have kept...the same menu, a good idea, as it is superb. We had Entrecôte aux herbes de Provence. All very nicely done and well presented. The setting is magnificent and we had a lovely sunny day so could sit on the terrace looking at the lac. Good luck to the new owners. We will be back in the summer to see how they are getting on when the tourists arrive.
We visited as a family several times while holidaying in the village of Bauduen on the shores of lac st. Croix, Always Try And book as it gets very busy and has limited seating outside , The menu is made up of local produce and...fish from the Mediterranean about minutes away We ate splendid local Entrecôte steaks , perfectly cooked as well as Moules frites , plump and fresh and excellent King prawns cooked in Pastis , Highly recommend ! Very good Restaurant,
We had a salad for that was a very sparingly plated, with tiny morsels of chicken placed at precise distances around the plate's perimeter, a single crouton, about a quarter of a tomato, etc. The flavours were good but this was an informal spot...and we felt ripped off by the portions. One of the best restaurants in the Lac du Verdon area! We come here every year and every year it’s excellent. The staff are wonderful and welcoming, the food is delicious, and the terrasse has a great view of the lake. They occasionally organize concerts...which adds a magical touch to the experience. I highly recommend Café du Midi!
A restaurant by the lake. The services were good and staff were very attentive. The beef steaks were cooked to our likings. Tasty and flavorful. Particularly love the sweet potato fries. Crisp on the outside and tender inside. The chocolate mousse was airy and fluffy....Very delicious. Well done.
The food here is good value and the staff are helpful and friendly. Fairly traditional provencal cooking with extras; set menu and special of the day. Good wine. Great atmosphere, and you are on the village place (if you want to play boule) which overlooks...the Lac de St. Croix.
It has a wonderful terrace overlooking the lake . . The Menu is very restricted and never seems to alter but what they serve is good . I wish they would add more specials . Its under new management but they have added nothing to...the menu Friendly service Reserva una mesa ahora
