Cafe Du Monde – City Park

So you came to New Orleans and you want to try the famous beignets. Cafe Du Monde is sure to hit your radar, but you’re smarter than the average bear and you do your research so you realize you can come out to City Park AND get your beignets without the wait. That’s what we did. We took the trolley from the French Quarter. It’s a pleasant 20 minute ride for $1.25 per person. Bargain! When we got there we walked through the sculpture garden and then headed over to the Cafe. I shared an order of beignets with my wife and of course they were yummy. But oh my gosh, SO MUCH sugar. We came here on a Saturday morning and it was a dream! No line at the cafe, a beautiful park all around, and the art museum just across the street. We enjoyed live music while sitting on the patio! The staff was kind, quick, and attentive. And of course the beignets were incredible! Tip the employees who are cleaning the tables, they deserve it!

Must do when in New Orleans! Had a hot chicory coffee and a 3pk beignet. Café is in a beautiful location so we sat outside to enjoy our breakfast. Staff member asked to clear my tray.

Wonderful beignets and atmosphere! Everything is kept so tidy. Service was incredibly fast. This location is easy to access in city park and had no line.

Amazing beignets and frozen mocha on a hot day. We enjoyed our visit, although service could have been a little better. We will still return!
