Cafe Haven - Reserva de mesa

My friend and I went for a meal at 3pm,Sunday the 27th May. We ordered the beef and barley soup, a mint tea and an iced tea. The soup was barely warm. They heated it up, but it was still not hot. The soup looked good, but was pretty flavourless, almost like they threw a bunch of veg and meat in a pot and cooked it with no stock or flavours added. The bread that came with it, was the ordinary, cheap sliced brown variety. My tea was green, with mint, which I don't like. My friend, just wanted iced tea with a slice of lemon. I have never had a worse experience. The place was packed and we couldn't get a table, so the cashier told us we should order our food once we found a seat. After waiting half an hour, a table opened up and we took our seats as the table was being cleared by a staff member, and we finally then ordered our food. Ten minutes into waiting for our food, the same staff member that had cleared our table earlier told us the table we had seated ourselves at was reserved and we had to vacate. At this point there were no more tables available so we were stranded once again. We decided to get our food to-go - we wasted a good hour for nothing. This is a great little coffee bistro place in Sherwood Park. The coffee, sandwiches, munchies and salads are great. A lot of healthy choices at this restaurant.Gets very busy on Sunday mornings...so go early and get a window seat in the sun in mornings and enjoy your java.

I go to Cafe Haven when I am in the mood for a rich, tasty latte or cappuccino. They are, by far, the best I have had in the Edmonton area. The lunch sandwiches are unique and tasty. The breakfast selection is so-so, but the coffee more than makes up for it! Reserva una mesa ahora

The cafe is in an old bank, offering a quiet back room in what was once the vault. Fresh, locally sourced food and delicious coffees/lattes etc. Friendly service. Great local coffee spot. Live music some evenings.

Its just the best place. Coffee is brillant. Brunch and baking are on par. Love the kitchy feel of the room and did I mention how good the coffee is here ?? :)

Wonderful coffee. Great people. Excellent eats. This used to be a hidden gem. Now it is often very full. Ski Starbucks. Go here instead!

I found out about this little nook in 2010. I continued to visit till we moved away in May. The chai and sandwiches are addicting.
