If you are a traveler looking for some Indian food after a long day of travel, I would advise against choosing this restaurant. My experience was extremely disappointing. After ordering the food 45 minutes in advance on our way back from Sequoia National Park, we were told it would be ready in 15-20 minutes. However, upon arrival, it was clear they had not even started preparing our order. After another 30 minutes of waiting and repeatedly asking for our food, we finally received our order, which turned out to be a far cry from what we had expected. Server was kind but very slow and fairly inattentive (not busy at all). Food was unfortunately awful. Butter Sauce was grainy powdery and chicken was rubbery. Naan was thick, doughy, flavorless, and undercooked. Husband asked if their chicken was fresh or frozen and if the sauces were instant. They insisted everything was fresh. We’d rather drive an hour out of town for authentic Indian food than go here again. :
Worst food and service I ever had. We went to Dine in with kids. After ordering it took 50 mins to food get ready, by that time our kids became restless and we decided to take out. At home when we tasted , even our hungry kids (2 and 5 yrs) denied to eat that horrible food. Dal Makhani combination was with chana dal udad dal with no Makhan and tons of salt. Horrible Naan, palak paneer and Paneer Makhani.
The staff at this restaurant is fantastic, but it seemed like they needed more help. Everyone was bustling around, trying their best, but they struggled to keep up with the takeaway orders. The food was alright, but it lacked the authentic flavors we were expecting. Despite this, I could see that the staff were putting in a lot of effort.

Cafe India is a great family restaurant nestled in downtown Visalia. The staff is very kind and courteous, the food is always fresh, and there is constant buzz of people coming in for take out or dining in. It is one of our favorite restaurants in the Kings/Tulare County area. You will not be disappointed!Food: 5/5
I have ZERO tolerance for spicy food. When I order food here, they ask how spicy I want it, I say “mild” and there is no spiciness whatsoever. So happy for that!!! I always order chicken tikka masala (what I usually call butter chicken). Delicious. I prefer to order out, as their service can be slow.Food: 5/5
Fantastic from-scratch Indian food. Everything I've ever had here is amazing, they let you choose your spice level, and they are so kind, warm and inviting.The atmosphere is comfortable, but not fancy. You can tell they are way more focused on the food than the interior design, which is fine by me.Food: 5/5
Our server was so nice! We just got takeout but she let us sit and have a beer while we waited. The food was delicious but I will say my medium wasn’t as spicy as I thought it would be. That being said, I’d happily come back and try the hot!

I had an amazing meal at this restaurant! The Chicken Tikka Masala, garlic Naan, and rice were all extremely delicious. I can't wait to go back soon. Our waitress was excellent as well. I give the food a perfect score of 5 out of 5.
