After a stroll through the old town of Oberursel, we passed the Cafe Klatsch against 14:30 with lunch in mind. Having checked the pedestrian area for other restaurants we were glad to return for a closer look. We were lucky to grab a table outside. Service was prompt and friendly. We loved the choice of food offered both as daily specials on the board and in the printed permanent menu. The three of us sampled all three options: "regular", vegetarian and vegan. We were fully satisfied with taste, presentation, quantity and price of the dishes served: this was much better than the standard usually offered in a "Cafe". During a walk through the pedestrian zone of Oberursel a lot to me the well visited gossip café. I ordered a cup of tea and was very happy. 14 days later, my husband and I had breakfast there. The Gr. Cup Cappuccino costs 3.80€, the breakfast offers extra. Among other things there were 1 rolls (not fresh from the baker), thick cucumber slices, a hint of fresh peppers, tomato slices. The dressage of fresh fruit salads - mainly from apples, was orange juice. There were muesli with yogurt, butter, honey and jam. For me this was not a delicious breakfast, I expect at least fresh crispy rolls, especially at this price
Schöne Location in Altstadt Oberursel, viele Plätze drausen, innen schön eingerichtet, modern aber das Gefühl von Bistro, sehr gutes Essen. Hatten grosse shrimp Salat und Tunfisch mit Kartoffeln und Zwiebeln pfanne. 12 E. pro person inclusif Getränke, grosses Apfelwein und Flasche Mineralwasser.(Nice location in old town Oberursel, lots of tables outside, nice deco inside, modern but with the feel of a bistro, very good food. We had a large shrimp salad and a tuna with potato and onion "pan." 12 Euros per person included a large applewine and bottle of mineral water.)
If I'm in Oberursel, I'll go to Café Gossip to eat flame cake - these are very delicious. Many other dishes are offered: pasta dishes, vegetarians and there is a wide selection of drinks and cocktails. So also very nice to have a drink at night. Since it is located in the pedestrian zone, you can sit well outside in the summer. The service staff is attentive and friendly. There are 2 other places: once Bad Homburg- the restaurant is stylish; and still Friedrichsdorf-, in which it is somewhat urinary due to the old workshop building.

Stopped for a quick lunch which turned into a long meal. The food was exceptional, the service attentive. The soups are savory hot and delicious. Entrees are large big enough to share. Prices are very reasonable.
