Cafe Konigin Louise

This is a pleasant Viennese coffee house-style cafe in the centre of Saarlouis which offers a varied breakfast menu (clearly described in German) for all tastes. My companion's "vitality" breakfast included good quality quark and compote-style fruit. My French breakfast was a croissant, butter and café au lait. I also ordered a piece of cheescake. The coffee, unfortunately, had a bitter afertaste and the cheesecake was a slightly odd gelatined sweetish mousse. Not objectionable, but not what I would call cheesecake, and I have eaten many kinds in many countries. Decor smart and pleasant, service good enough, clean and smart toilets. Price (E14) about right for Germany.

The coffee unfortunately had a bitter taste and the cheese cake was a slightly unevenly gelled sweet mousse. Not worrying, but not what I would call cheesecake, and I have eaten many species in many countries. Decor smart and pleasant, service good enough, clean and intelligent toilets. Price (E14) on the right to Germany.

We had lunch, really good value at €25 for two mains (Dolon blue sausage salad two beers), the food was good, very friendly service the waitress brought a bowl of water for our dog without being asked for it. Nice place to sit and watch the world.

Don't waste your money. The service was terrible, cold coffee. Staff too busy to talk to each other to harass customers. It's horrific.
