Because of the good reviews we were eating at the Kreidacher Höhe restaurant yesterday. You can say: We've never eaten that bad. The Rumpsteak with red wine/drum sauce was almost raw (both sides cooked differently) and the Pommes Frittes were almost cold. After I have let the Rumpsteak go back after a few bites, this was not even replaced, but further fried and then more than just fried (although explicitly ordered media) brought me ice-cold Pommes Frittes. The pepper steak was also partly almost raw, not to mention the pepper sauce. This consisted almost exclusively of peppercorns and was almost inedible. Even a star is too much. We were invited to attend the ADAC Youngtimer Rallye in the restaurant. Even the reception was in need of reconciliation... a somewhat smaller gentleman in cooking clothes gave a loud sound to another participant, he can't stand up like that for the hot plates there are paper napkins. As a participant, we had the choice of two dishes of beef goulash or pifflings with a non-definable bag sauce. We then decided for the seedlings and were disappointed as these had more sand than pepperlings. Also the rest wasn't exactly inviting the restaurant made a dirty unattended impression. The Kreidacher Höhe was unfortunately closed in the autumn of 2017, one can only hope that a comparable company will be involved again and not a medical clinic or whatever. For years this was a cozy café/restaurant with a beautiful ambience, beautiful views of the Odenwälder mountains and good bakery. On weekends the Kreidacher Höhe was always well visited and always worth a trip. In the time before the closure, the innkeepers probably didn't have a bock anymore and the company had what to read in many reviews. One star is for closure, 10-20 years ago there would have been a full score.
Unfortunately, I didn't like it.It was difficult to find a table with a clean tablecloth. We only drank a bit because the appetite for the cakes and cakes at the sight of the blind glass pane behind which they stood thoroughly past. Even our glasses were not really clean. The staff was nice and friendly to our children. The child's chair we brought was also so drunk that I kept our son on my lap. Drinks were up to my ok.The atmosphere was not inviting. Had a celebration there, Eating was salted, carving consists only of moulded meat, if one had not seen on the menu what it was that one would not have recognized the food in the taste.Chef is so cheeky and unharmed, never experienced anything like that. They were friendly and they were visibly embarrassed as their boss has performed.No more again!!!!
It used to be a very nice house with excellent reputation. Unfortunately, for reasons, we have always been so much left behind that I can only give two stars. That's so bad as I know the locality for better times. Unfortunately, several recent visits were very disappointing.
