Cafe Lalibela - Ethiopian Restaurant

I love Ethiopian food. Enjera topped with legumes, fish, vegetables, kitfo, all of it. So I was delighted to see an Ethiopian restaurant upon my arrival in Vienna. I don't have the opportunity to dine on this cuisine anywhere within hundreds of kilometres of where...I live so I was charged up to devour all I could stuff in. This small restaurant is run my a very friendly gentleman who did all he could to make us welcome. He speaks English which helped since the menu is in German, not one of my languages. He imports his teff directly from Ethiopia and the injera was excellent. Unfortunately the day we ate there was a religious holiday so fresh meat and fish were not available, so no kitfo. Bu...

We had an awesome experience discovering the Ethiopian cusine in one of the friendliest restaurants in Vienna! George, the owner of the restaurant was so kind and made sure that everybody gets the fuzzy vibes of the place: happy Ethiopian music, lots of traditional decorations,...and warm service. He is just so nice to every guest and ensures that everybody is having a great time! We had a traditional Ethiopian dinner which we ate with the hands- most of us served Bayaynetu and we liked it so much! All the specialities were delicious and very appreciated by everyone. We had so much fun, definitely come back soon!

If you enjoy Ethiopian cuisine this place is a MUST visit in Vienna. At here with my partner and she's been to Ethiopia and eaten at many Ethiopian restaurants in major cities all over Europe and N.America as well. Food is great, atmosphere is lively...and authentic and the service is outstanding super friendly, good English/German. Prices are fair, they have a full bar and location is easy to get to via metro/taxi etc. Highly recommended.

The service is absolutely top class. Genuine care for the clientele and couldn't be more helpful and welcoming with a smile and infectious positive vibe. The food was fantastic. After having ethiopian cuisine in Kenya I've been eager to enjoy this amazing food again and...this place hit the spot perfectly. If you're in Vienna I would say this is a must place to visit. Very reasonable prices and such a nice dining experience.
