I had the shrimp linguini dish and it was creamy and very tasty. The shrimp were cooked just right, and not rubbery, and the veggies in the dish were al dente and not overcooked. A flavorful meal. The house wine was fine. The dessert of blueberry crepe was a bit too sweet for me, but still had alot of flavor. There were alot of blueberries in it! The American coffee was not very good, so I suggest using a Kuerig or real pot for coffee, as it tasted like instant and was not to my liking. So glad I tried this Croatian restaurant. The dishes we ordered were all very good; tasted like a home cooked meal indeed! I highly recommend the Lamb Shank entree. So tender flavorful! the meat was falling off the bone and complimented very well with the veggies and mash potatoes. The dessert crepes were very good! Prices are very reasonable. Would come back to try other items on their menu. Service was also really good! Reservation is recommended since it's a small restaurant. Alfresco dining available.

Tried this place for lunch today, I work just around the corner so I was hoping it was good. I walked in and immediately felt like I was at home. Nice light atmosphere, and the food was great! The waitress was very comforting, kind of like a Grandma. It was like a home cooked meal. The lunch special was a great deal. I think this will be my new go to spot! Would highly recommend this to a friend, and I'll be bringing my coworkers next time. Although I noticed there was no Monday lunch special.

My wife and I decided to try Cafe LuMar. So glad we did. I had the pork schnitzel and she had the chipotle chicken with pasta. Both meals were absolutely delicious and were very generous portions. You have to try the blueberry iced tea. We're looking forward to the next several times there so we can work our way through the menu. We can't wait to try the crepes. They were very attentive and the service was great. Do yourself a favor and give it a try. You won't be disappointed.

This is a very special place. It is an unassuming, friendly neighborhood place in a quaint and picturesque part of town. The food is superb, and the waiter (Bruno) is the best! We had a bottle of Croatian white wine, which surpassed all expectations. Then came the delightful surprise when the musicians walked in: a violinist and guitarist, who serenaded us magically, creating an ambience seldom to be had in this country. This is a keeper!

Very cosy place. First time but won't be the last. Authinic Croation food. And family run, Bruno nephew of the owner was our waiter. Took the time to explain dishes. Food delicious. We shared the goulash and stuffed cabbage, loved it. If you are imbibing try the Sangria. Lots of fruit, yum.

This cafe is a jewel on a side street in Monrovia. The Croatian food was absolutely delicious; the service was exceptional. You must save room for the amazing dessert crepes.
