I don't like to leave bad reviews but I have been in here many times over a couple of years and the service has got worse and worse. Things forgotten or else you wait and wait while the waitress faffs about. The food when it comes though, is usually good. Given the demographic of most of the customers (60+ it's my belief they went in when they were in their 40s and have been waiting ever since) the choice music played seems a little odd. Radio stations that play auto tuned stuff like Tinchy Stryder et al. I like to support small local businesses, but I shan't bother going in again and will use Costa across the road. Best avoided if you are in a hurry. Or don't like Tinchy Stryder.
Following a not very good breakfast at our hotel. We went into this cafe for lunch. I had a bowl of homemade beef stew with dumplings. It was delicious and very filling. Therefore we went here nearly every day. The breakfasts are really nice with loads of choices. Yes it gets full. And sometimes you may have to wait. But it's worth it. Lovely cafe lovely people. Thank you Mike for your hospitallity. We will return.
After a very disappointing experience having jacket potatoes in Melton Mowbray,we thought we would try here for lunch. It was terrific I had jacket potato with savoury mince coleslaw and rocket. It was literally 4 times bigger than we had had in Melton Mowbray and less in price. My husband had a very good English breakfast. Nice friendly people too. Would definitely return.

I recently enjoyed a full English breakfast on a Saturday morning. The breakfast was excellent, with delicious bacon and sausages, beans, mushrooms, tomato, eggs, toast, and coffee all for just £6.20. The food was excellent and the price was very reasonable, I highly recommend it.
This place is a lovely French style cafe. The service was good and the staff were friendly. The coffee is excellent and full of flavour. We ordered Croque Monsieur and loved them. The cakes were also tasty. It was a good place to sit in the sun and watch the world go by.
I have visited this restaurant numerous times with my sisters or husband. The food is always delicious and reasonably priced. Their cheese on toast is fantastic! The atmosphere is friendly and welcoming. I appreciate their support for independent traders.
Go for lunch regularly with my children and family Cozy and good service , seating simple. But staff friendly Nice coffee and baguettes , Great latte and desert

We had been shopping and wanted some tea. We could not resist the iced lemon curd cake it was delicious. The menu was varied and interesting
