Food ordered online using cafe mela’s own website, after an hour the food had not arrived so called to see a time it may arrive, got told it would be a further wait, another 30 mins later and they said they would call the driver,...and call back, 30mins later still no call or food and they now say the food had been delivered, or should have been, gave another 20 mins and called back still not food and now claiming they don’t deliver to the area (despite doing so before and the website allowing the order), that they have no idea which delivery driver has the food, and that they could offer us the 20% off next order, which you already get when ordering online. Customer service was shocking and...
Attended on Friday night with friends. The restaurant was really really cold. We were sat in a draught so asked to move plenty of empty tables they said “no!!” I pointed out empty tables but they said they were booked no one sat...in them all night! I continued to request a move and eventually they ”allowed” us to move. We then waited 15mins and had to ask them to take a drinks order… then after a further 15 mins we again had to ASK them to take our food order. When the food came it was ok but when one of our party said one of his items wasn’t as he’d ordered the waiter argued with him! Overall the place was freezing and the staff were surly and unhelpful . We won’t be returning.
I want to express my gratitude to everyone at Mela Cafe for an amazing evening. A group of around 20 of us dined there last night and it was outstanding. I made a reservation a few weeks in advance, which was easy to do, and they were very accommodating. The service and food were excellent. Despite our large group, all the dishes came out together and were piping hot. The food was incredibly tasty and the menu offered a great variety. I highly recommend trying their peshwari naan, it was the best I've ever had with a delicious drizzle of honey. Thank you again to everyone at Mela Cafe for a wonderful dining experience.
Researched a number of restaurants ahead of our few days in Worcester and Cafe Mela seemed to have the most varied menu with dishes we have not had before and the most reasonably priced of all the we viewed. Ate here on out first night...and almost returned on our last but it was a tough choice to make between here and another restaurant which had equally fabulous food. Sorry Mela will even the score next time we are in town.

I have been a loyal customer at this curry house for 17 years. The previous manager, Mani, was a lovely man and ran a brilliant restaurant. I called for a take away recently and had the misfortune of speaking to someone who described himself as...the new manager. Despite this he refused to give me his name and was very rude to me. I won’t be using this restaurant again which is such a shame as it used to be fabulous.
We have had takeaways from cafe Mela for many years and been very happy with the quality. However recently the quality has dropped off a cliff. Despite telling the manager about the problem there was no improvement . Over cooked fish and chicken. Perhaps the...chef has changed? Such a pity we will be going elsewhere in future
I went to this restaurant with friends and I am still surprised at how they have any customers! The first problem was with our drink order, it got very confusing. How does a bottle of rose and 4 glasses get mistaken for only 3 glasses (already poured with no sign of the bottle)? And what about the other person in our group?
I will now only order Indian takeaway from here. The food is delicious the garlic naan in particular, and it always arrives quicker than they estimate. They have great customer service, would recommend to anyone.

After watching the soccer game with my friends, we pre-ordered a takeaway from Cafe Mela. It arrived on time and warm, and we really enjoyed it. I would give 5 stars to the staff at the restaurant.
