This place is a everytime is breakfast time place. The coffee is in comparison to other coffee places not that good. When I was ordering my first breakfast at this place I really was shocked how much plastic wrapped stuff they are putting on my plate. There was butter plastic wrapped and jam in plastic. Looked more like a breakfast you can get at a hospital than a breakfast in a French like café. The stuff is really slow and you are not quite sure how to order. They always act a little bit strange. There are some elderly people who get their ordering right away, maybe because they are coming everyday. On the same street there are like 5 places where you can get better coffee, better (and environmenr friendlier) breakfast and the stuff is friendlier. Would not recommend

Very good baguette, croissant, scrambled egg, and camembert. Average coffee. Hard-boiled egg you can do without. Dry-aged crepe, with a topping other than ordered, tasted like microwaved after 4 hours of aging. The hot French-style sandwiches are impressive though. The furniture, less so. For this old-fashioned small town, it's a nice complement.

The cafe benefits from its location. Wolbecker Strasse is great, close to the train station and has a couple of (not so expensive) restaurants/cafes. There are better ones than Montmartre. It is okay for coffee and chat. Don't expect French patisserie. I tried the croissants/pains aux chocolate twice and it was disappointing. Not fresh.

Good place for early meetings. Usually we go there with friends before someone is leaving, because it is near to train station.
