This place was terrible. The food was so bad, tasteless and undercooked. Their “avocado toast” is just two pieces of white bread with a slice of lettuce and tomato and some avocado thrown on top without seasonings. Their French toast was still raw in the middle and their crepe was still raw and cold. We didn’t even eat it because we didn’t want to get sick. The waitress was not very friendly and was annoyed that we asked for more time to look at the menu. Then we get the bill which is not written clearly or itemized and it has an 18% gratuity included which was not disclosed anywhere on the menu. I had a pleasant experience at Cafe Paris. They offer a wide variety of authentic French cuisine for every meal. I opted for the croissant sandwich, which contained turkey, lettuce, tomato, and Swiss cheese. The sandwich also came with a side of fries. The food was delicious, with the croissant perfectly toasted. The restaurant had a charming French atmosphere, with artwork, flowers, and decorations throughout. Outdoor seating with a view of the main street was also available. The service was good, but be cautious as they automatically add a tip to your bill without informing you verbally. Overall, I enjoyed my lunch at Cafe Paris and would recommend it to others.
Awful experience. The food is mediocre and the service is lacking, due to their mandatory gratuity policy. Take your money elsewhere, as there are plenty of other fantastic restaurants in Metuchen that do not charge an 18% gratuity for a party of 3. Additionally, it is hard to verify your bill since it is not itemized. When I asked the diners next to us if they were also charged an 18% gratuity, they said no. I am unsure of their criteria for enforcing this policy on customers. I will not be returning to this establishment.
I recently had the pleasure of visiting Cafe paris in Metuchen, and I must say, it was an outstanding breakfast experience from start to finish. I am delighted to give this fantastic establishment a well-deserved five-star review! Thank you leticia Kyle 2 update This time wasn’t as I expected the waiter was so pushy to give us the receipt so we leave even that my wife didn’t finished her coffee that we order after the breakfast and the restaurant was 60% empty . Best smoked salmon sandwich ever. Not sure what made it different, fresh gost cheese, pickled red onion maybe?, or the delicious bread, but I definitely recommend. Spinach omelet was great too, but really, try the smoked salmon!
beautiful small one-off coffee shop in the middle of the city of mewelen. service was great, drinks were great. very relaxing environment. would definitely recommend others. it didn't eat much, but it's always next time.
eating tastes great. coffee was good. we have dined during the street fair so that the atmosphere of the experience added. my daughter loved it and my wife is in crepps. kind service!
the atmosphere is beautiful. there are inside and outside seats. for me it was mediocre. they have a credit card fee, which is good a lot of places.
