Small restaurant, with great food. We were lucky to get a table on a Saturday evening, considering we hadn't booked. Looked tiny on arrival. However, there is an upstairs. Decor is basic, and it felt more like a popular takeaway had decided to create some seating. However, the service was friendly. Alcohol was available, and it appeared to be a popular spot. The food was the best part of the experience. We both had chicken Shish. The chicken had great flavour and was perfectly cooked. All the side salad was nice and fresh. The mushroom starter was nicely flavoured. No wonder it's highly rated. It gets the food right.
I typically do not leave 1-star reviews, but I had a negative experience at Cafe Passion. I believe I was overcharged on my credit card compared to the bill, and despite sending three webform requests for reimbursement, the restaurant did not reply. I am disappointed to have to resort to leaving this review. I urge all diners to double check that the amount entered into the card machine matches the total on your bill. Cafe Passion, if you are reading this, please respond to my requests from the past two weeks.
I was blown away by this place. From the outside it looks like a small cafe, but it's like the tardis and is deceptively large, and also busy inside. So nice to see a restaurant that's busy, and it is easy to see why. The menu has so many options, and they somehow feel healthy. Massive portions, and so so tasty. Had a beautiful Turkish coffee, halloumi kebab, and hummus, and every bite was just perfect. Staff were very attentive, and prices are more than reasonable.
We recently visited this restaurant for lunch as a group of 10 during our lunch break. We pre-ordered over the phone, which helped speed up the process, allowing us to dine and leave within an hour. Sister in law tooks us for lunch after telling us how great it was. Food was fantastic especially the mixed cold mezze we shared. We each had different kebabs which came with a lovely bulgar wheat salad. Fresh bread and lovely sauces. The guy serving was great and the experience will definitely be one to repeat.
