If you like German food and a good selection and a place with a good atmosphere then Café Paul is the place to go. I have been there many times over the last ten years or so. The food selection is very good. I can’t comment on the wine list, I have never had any with my meal. They also offer seasonal set menus, which I find quite good value for money. Otherwise, I found their prices quite reasonable, although I doubt whether you get by on 8 Euros. If you are planning to go in the evening you might want to book a table because the place is rather popular and can be quite crowded. Lastly, I have always experienced the owner and his staff as friendly and well-mannered.
Visited for Saturday lunch with friends. Spoke in German with the staff. Extremely rude waitress gave incorrect advice on whether a dish was dairy free (due to allergy) and twice made rude facial expressions about my friend's dairy free requests (eg rolling eyes at her). Despite this, the food was so yummy and good value that we would return!
We visited this restaurant based on previous reviews from trip-advisor and it did not disappoint. The food was delicious (I went for veggie dumplings with sour cream sauce and my partner for a salad + rosti). The service was fast and friendly. We are also vegetarians and there was plenty of great choices. Couldn't recommend enough!
Good-sized portions of piping hot German staples, served fast by extemely friendly staff, and at a reasonable price. What more could you want?Right across the street from Hiebers supermarket.Frumpy decor was not at all to our taste, but we were there to eat not stare at the walls :-)

Nice food, nice staff, very fast service and not expensive. The restaurant was full but the give me dinner as fast as light. Maybe it's not the best in the town but it deserve a second chance with much more time. I will be back.
Good German Kitchen. Fair Prize. Big portion. I celebrated my wedding in this restaurant. The Italian guest enjoyed the risotto, the French guest loved the asparagus and the British guest recommend the roast.
2nd visit. This time round the waitress was lovely, no rudeness as last time. Again we were there for Saturday lunch. No need to book. Yummy food delivered quickly (off set menu).
The usual excellent croissant but this coffee also offers great meal options for lunch and dinner and the deserts are obscenely good :)

Good cuisine, friendly owner, the place seems really popular in Rheinfelden. The owner is French but installe there since "ever".
We had schnitzels and salat and it was really good. Service was nice and very friendly and surroundings nice and and cozy.
