lunch with friends. the welcome not very smiling. I order a dish of the day: a cod fillet in aïoli. the plate arrives cold and the fish not cooked, vegetables thrown in bulk. The plate returned to the kitchen, comes back a few moments later. simple passage to the micro wave and basta. the rest of the dishes is of medium quality. It's clearly about a va-vite connection. The terrace is noisy. clearly a disappointment from any point of view.

1 hour waiting for our salmon tartars to be served. no excuses when paying (no commercial gesture: offering coffees for example). I tell the boss that it's a shame (very politely and with a smile), he answers to me "if you're not happy you only have to go to the mcdo" Then he got mad, yelling and saying "I'm going to increase my rates to select the customers"We were 10 at the table, no one was packed with his plate.

very slow service. 1h for two dishes being almost the only ones to eat at 8pm and all to have frozen fries, an industrial andouillette with the presence of metallic pieces in the dish and the small medallion of the factory making the andouillette that was sold to me as a quality gage. lol. It is a factory-made and probably bought frozen and sold at an exorbitant price in view of the poor quality of the products.

fortunately we are not proud of previous opinions! the restaurant offers a large terrace. the staff is pretty nice, we ordered 2 caesar salads and we were served pretty quickly. the salads were hearty and fresh, totally worth their price. we regularly go to the terrace at the perl to drink a drink with friendsGo, you will see by yourself! Right next to our hotel (The Silky). Useful place for afternoon drinks or an evening nightcap. We also took a light lunch here- croque monsieur and omelette They stock a wide collection of drinks but have no pretensions to be high class.

Went every day for coffee in the AM and cocktail in the evening. Staff could be snippy but were very busy in the afternoons. Owner was there and monitoring all things at all times (was nice to see).

Cafe Perl is clearly marketed towards tourists and residents alike, but I think earns most from the former. The food is solidly good but overpriced, Reserva una mesa ahora

pleasant terrace although close to the road, the service is quick and pleasant. prices remain suitable for a restaurant in the center of lyon.

The atmosphere was nice, there were a few other customers but not many as we arrived at 3pmOur waiter was kind and spoke passable English.
