Cafe Pilicas - Reserva de mesa

Our first visit to Portugal and staying locally to this cafe. You can smell the fish meat cooking in the outside grill as you walk towards the cafe. They have plenty of outside seating but we decided to go inside. Basic but clean and they encourage sharing of tables. Menu all in Portuguese, we went for sardines. They were amazing, perfectly cooked and a portion would have been enough for two! They came with boiled potatoes (which were delicious) and a side salad (which was crisp and yummy). We apparently could have had a coffee included in the price too. Service was amazing, very helpful and better English than our Portuguese. Next time I will ask for their special. Loved it.

Almocei umas migas com entrecosto. Paguei 10.00, por 1/2 dose. Tive direito a pão, azeitonas, 1 bebida, sobremesa e café.

Vinho da Cascalheira fraco. Arroz sem sabor, os grelhados estavam ótimos. Bom preço, menu completo 10,00.
