Cafe-Restaurant la Maison Bleue

Had dinner at this restaurant which has a great location in the middle of the center of La Motte Chalacon. We ordered pizzas and steaks but in stead of receiving the medium rare and rare steaks as ordered they were all cooked well done. Fries were cold, pizzas not great. As being tourists we didn’t want to make a fuss about this and the service did not seem open for any comment of any kind. It’s a pity because the menu is not very complicated.

This place is a cafe and a restaurant. The cafe offers a great terrace which is perfect to enjoy apero at the end of the afternoon watching the sun going down over the mountains. The boss and his wife speak french, english and german and offered s a warm service with good info on the local life and specialties (truffles... . A good selection of local wines is available. Specialty: Ravioles ! Great.

A big bof! A card or nothing is cooked (we take out the ravioli of the bag, cream and oven), the proof is that the cook works with a flower shirt without apron and especially without a mask! an excellent beer spoiled by a glass of cardboard like this we appreciate neither foam nor color, in short it remains good but I will not come back. In view of some comments we hesitated and then we tried and we do not regret it. The pancakes are very good, the pleasant service and the very nice terrace. A wider choice of wine would be a plus, but I'm a chipote.

At 1:10 p.m. one of the waitresses tells us to empty our glasses because they're gonna close... on the market day, it's not too commercial!

Very good reception, pleasant, in a beautiful Provencal village. Very disappointing. Flat, very good and hearty. Perfect.
