This restaurant is located in a beautiful older home that has been tastefully renovated into a dining establishment. The service was excellent. However, the food was lacking in creativity and was uninspired. I ordered the grilled salmon with a small salad and choice of potatoes, which I found to be something I could have easily made at home. My partner ordered the lobster, which was served without the shell and appeared more like an appetizer. I recommend asking for the lobster to be served with the shell on to ensure you receive all the pieces. The fries were good and not greasy, and the wine list was good and reasonably priced. The best steak I had during my time in Victoriaville! It was cooked perfectly. The waiter that night was amazing, even with the language barrier between French and English. We enjoyed our meal so much that we recommended the restaurant to a group of people traveling with us on business the next evening. The atmosphere was cozy and intimate, with an old-fashioned style that we loved. It was a fantastic experience!
We ended up in this restaurant following a recommendation from a friend whose father lives in the city and is a regular. The meal started with a very ordinary soup, followed by a superb salmon tatare, great main dishes, and a desert to die for. All for the princely sum of $100.00 for two, including a bottle of wine.
