On Saturdays, I look forward to ordering the Baja Shrimp meal...and last night, I placed an order for the shrimp tacos through my app. I was happy to go pick up my order because I THOUGHT I would be eating nice, juicy, seasoned shrimp for dinner. I went in to pick up a late lunch takeout for my family and waited in line for 30 minutes. There were three people ahead of me in line so I didn’t think it would take very long to order. Granted one of the people ahead of me had a few dishes to order and it appeared some online orders were coming in too. However, the people taking orders were working in slow motion as they put together the orders. They didn’t seem to be working as a team, and whenever they asked for refills (multiple times) from the back they were ignored. I’ve been to this location a few times only in the evening and the service, quality, and food portions always bring me back. The manager is the best she’s always friendly, smiling and will go beyond what you expect to satisfy and help a customer out. I’m a first responder and she and her staff have always given me the first responder discount, which i appreciate so much. This location is the best in the city hands down!! Went in to have lunch. Took them 30 mins to help the customers in front of us. Get up to order my food and they say they are out of steak and have to cook some. Hadn’t even put it on the burner yet even though it was out already. Tells me another 10 mins I will have to wait. Then when the streak is finally ready she gave me such a small portion I left hungry.
This place was a mess! Novice boy completely screwed up the order, 30 minute wait inside beyond the quoted time, along with many other unhappy customers waiting. Ohhh, and one of the lemonades was pouring all the time, several flies were flying around, etc.
Outstanding timely, friendly and tasty experience. I definitely will be back for more. Two times is not enough! Thanks much Cafe Rio! The catering service is better than the on-site experience and that's great too!
Love Cafe rio but this one was way slower than normal and only 2 people in front of us.... but regardless I'd wait to eat here lol! Love their burritos and house dressing!

I paid 3 dollars for extra steak and my bowl literally had 4 small pieces of steak in it.
