I've tried this place four times now. The first was after a long day and it was still autumn before the market place was full with the Christmas market so they had outside service and tables. We had a very young man serving us, and...he was rather lovely. The meal was delicious as was the wine. Based on this experience I tried another three times and all three times I've felt humiliated and ignored by the servers. They aren't interested in you short of a one two order and go. The one guy actually waved me away as I tried to gesture for attention. We had a business dinner for three at Rossini in Halle (Saale). The service is good. You feel yourself welcome as guest. A huge choice on the menu. The food itself is very casual. The ingredients are not very tasty. The way it is prepared...doesn't have much special touch. My guest had a salat but the raw red onion on it was much too much. Also my Rumpsteak was of poor meat quality. Prices are normal. At the end they offer us for free a nice pizza ice. The sitting location upstairs is very nice. Good few on the market square. We paid EUR 60 for 3 mains and a joint starter dish with some drinks; but only one glass of (good) wine. My conclusion is: Rossini is acceptable especially if you like...
We needed to eat early, before going to concerts, so selected this restaurant mainly because we did not want to eat the pizza or pasta on offer nearby. We ate there twice. The food was well-prepared but not outstanding, the service was either patronising or...exasperatingly slow (when it was clear that we were in a hurry to pay for our meal). If you have time, look for restaurants away from the main square, without menus printed in English.
Nice location with view to the central square. But that's the only good thing to say. Waiters weren't paying attention to the guests and the kids of the owner (?) were playing around inside the restaurant. Our pizza was not baked enough and the cheese on it was like rubber. Not a place we can recommend.

I have eaten twice in this restaurant. on the ground floor there is an Italian caffe that serves coffee/cake and ice cream. the first floor is a restaurant with beautiful Italian food. I had pasta and enjoyed it very much. the portions are also a decent size.
The first day for outdoor dining spring 2017 we went to Rossini at the Marktplatz in Halle. Good service and fine food. Sitting with a view to the old church tower was great. I had pizza and it was very good. I recommend Pizza Salmo/Caviale....Very tasteful.

Central and very clean place with great service and view as restaurant is on upper level. 1A Italian kitchen with a lot of choices and fair price for food and wine. Recommend to end up after lunch or dinner one level lower for coffee and...sweet.
We had a family dinner there. As the weather was very nice so we had a seat outside. Staff very friendly as in Italy. The foods were very perfect so we liked and we will enjoy next time again. The desserts are very good
