Have been here many times most is good experiences, have seen it slip down hill the last few times! My second to last visit the owner was sat on his phone at a table no greeting when we walked in no nothing! I then asked for a high chair for him to turn and look at us and shrugged his shoulders and said got none it broke then walked away! Put it down to maybe a bad day for him! Visit today yet again cafe empty him sat on his phone at a table walked in no greeting other than him staring at us! No other staff members there, for my sister to ask for something and him say no not got it then hurried her to for something else. Placed our plates on the table and walked off! I cycled to Cheltenham for breakfast and stumbled upon Cafe Sarnie just off the High Street. I only stayed on the ground floor so I can't comment on the upstairs area. The seating area downstairs was exceptionally clean. The service was quick and efficient. The food was fresh, and we opted for the English breakfast which was excellent value, not oily, and nicely presented. We ordered two cups of tea but because they serve it in teapots, we ended up with two cups of tea each, which was a nice surprise. I will definitely be returning for another visit.
Having a wander around Cheltenham today and popped into one of the few independents operating in the town centre. Very pleasantly surprised with quality and quantity of the food on offer. We both plumped (and I mean plumped) for the scampi and chips and the large, oval plates came absolutely loaded with scampi, chips, peas, salad and coleslaw. No room for dessert but we could see from other customers that the desserts were very fresh and nicely presented. Food was served quickly and piping hot . Thoroughly recommend.
Staff miserable as hell...no smiles, no welcome, no thank you until I paid the bill. Made to feel quite unwelcome, it was quite clear we weren't locals when we arrived as we didn't know whether it was order at the counter or waitress service so we hesitated about sitting down or ordering first. Order taken by a moody guy then a moody waitress brought our drinks over. Had the breakfast, food was nice. Sadly we won't be returning because of the lack of service and basic politeness we received

Came across this cafe last year when having a wander around Cheltenham, and popped in for a light snack. We’ve been back many times since! Friendly staff, very large servings of food, competitively priced. Any allergies will be catered for, just mention it when making an order. Tucked away down a side street by the newer, central shopping complex this cafe is well worth seeking out.
Only popped in, as a visitor to Cheltenham, for a hot choc. Lovely staff, v reasonable, lovely mug of tasty and actually hot, hot choc. Menus for breakfast and lunch looked grt and the food I saw others eating looked very appetising. Open kitchen, looked v clean.
Avoid!!! The male member of staff was miserable and rude. The upstairs was freezing. The food took ages to come and everything just tasted of grease. Then we were told when leaving that they don’t take cards, there was no apology just a major attitude!!!
Went to this cafe before returning home (21/2hr journey) in the morning for a full English breakfast, glad we did very clean, lovely lady serving, breakfast was great, actually wish I’d gone for large

The full English breakfast was fantastic. It was cooked perfectly with high-quality ingredients and was well presented. The value for money was excellent. We will definitely be returning.
The staff at this restaurant is wonderful and the food is delicious! The portion sizes are generous and the menu offers a wide variety of options. I will definitely be coming back.
