Cafe Sicilia - Reserva de mesa

Having been here before and enjoyed our dining experience we knew we wouldn't be disappointed. Everyone (5 of us) had a lovely meal. The service was excellent and there was nothing that we could find fault with. Our waiter even said goodnight and enjoy your evening as he was finishing his shift. of us ate the beef rolls which was on the specials board. It was akin to a beef olive but filled with mozzarella instead of stuffing. The other 2 meals was a pasta dish and my good lady went for the lasagne which she said the last time she was here was the best ever and this time it lived up to her last comment. I ordered a munchie box which consisted of calamari, bolognese, focaccia, arancini, mozzarella sticks and chips. The calamari was indistinguishable from rubber, the focaccia was burnt, the arancini was simply repulsive and the mozzarella sticks you’d have been better eating cardboard, it’d have more flavour and a nicer texture. As for the bolognese, it was okay but nothing to write home about. Chips were what you would expect. All in all a real shame, as I had high expectations after reading reviews suggesting the food was absolutely excellent. Undoubtedly a 1/5.

A friendly welcome greets you at this unpretentious little cafe /restaurant. Today I had risotto with Sicilian sausage and peppers which was very tasty . The chicken in a cream sauce with marsala wine served with spicy wedges and salad is also delicious. The portions are generous and the whole menu offers unusually good value for money. The homemade cakes are irrisistible and the coffee by far the best I've had in Dundee.

Fantastic meal, by far the best place we have eaten in Dundee. Staff very friendly. My girl was very happy with her spag bol (and a very generous portion too! but was even happier with her brownie. I Nothing too much trouble for them whipped her up cream when she asked if they had any. Prices very reasonable. We will be back next time we are in Dundee. Reserva una mesa ahora

Had my works Christmas lunch here and was amazed by the quality of food. Very good portion sizes, inexpensive, fabulous service. Waitresses were so friendly and helpful. The Pollo marsala dish is so tasty I could have eaten another one if I wasnt so full. Desserts are amazing too. Cant wait to revisit soon.

My friend had been telling me how wonderful this cafe was and I finally managed to go with her for lunch a couple of weeks ago. The setting is really good and cosy, food was excellent, staff ever so friendly. Would certainly recommend it and I look forward to visiting again in the near future.

Absolutely the best food I've ever tasted, all home cooked, delicious meals. Had our Christmas lunch here from work and it didn't disappoint. Small cafe, but amazing food plus desserts, service is fab. Very inexpensive, can't wait to return.

This long-standing restaurant never fails to impress. The food is authentically Italian, the service and atmosphere excellent. I cannot fault it ever. Had the tastiest salmon linguine I have ever tasted anywhere. Highly recommended. Reserva una mesa ahora

Coffee here is good, as are the snacks. My friend had arancini, I had a sourdough italian sausage sandwich. Both were pleasant enough. Minor downside is the cafe is cash only. Which is fine if you have any.

Good value,great food and lovely staff. It's a small place with a good menu, they sorted out a high chair for our visit and couldn't have made us feel more welcome.
