Came here recently for a friends birthday and am already making plans to return. From the moment I walked in I was greeted and taken to the table by a lovely staff member. The service at this place is like nothing I have ever experienced before, The staff were constantly making sure our glasses were not empty and that everything was to our liking. The food was out of this world!!! I had the Ricotta Gnocchi With Jerusalem Artichoke, Mushroom, Pea, Burnt Sage Butter and Pecorino, I am a Gnocchi lover and this was easily the best Gnocchi dish I have ever had! so tasty and cooked beautifully. We recently had the opportunity to dine at the fabulous Cafe Sydney at Customs House in Sydney. This innocuous name hides one of the best dining experiences we’ve had anywhere in the world. The dress circle location on Circular Quay provides panoramic views of the...famous bridge and Opera house and the staff are happy to oblige with taking photos of your group. Often a restaurant that is blessed with amazing views doesn’t bother to go the extra mile in other areas not the case here. Staff were knowledgeable and experienced and service was excellent. We paid for entrees and mains and a very average bottle of wine. The view is wonderful but this is a tourist restaurant with very poor food. The problem was we were expecting fine dining and this really isn’t. Have lunch at...the MCA view is just as good and the food better and cheaper. There are so many better restaurants in Sydney you shouldn’t be paying this money for less than mediocre food.
We enjoyed an excellent lunch on a sparkling day celebrating years since we met. The entree of a baked goat cheese soufflé was very moist and well presented. We enjoyed the Humpty Doo barramundi and the poached John Dory. The dark chocolate ganache was...delicious. All together an excellent lunch in delightful setting and pleasant service.

Was so looking forward to a drink here before going elsewhere but was totally ignored. I had been here previously and enjoyed the drinks. We were left in the bar with a menu for over minutes whilst the many door people watched It was...that long that the girl who sat us said “all finished?”when we handed our menus back and left. Pity
Great location good menu. Food was great but pricy. There was of us the bill came to around The catch is because there is a group of they sting you for a service charge. They do not warn you...when booking. Only when they present the bill. It's in their T&C but hard to fine. for service on a non public holiday is a rip off. Be warned
We dined her for a late lunch at recommended timing because in Autumn the sun is going down when lunch is over. This is a first class restaurant that does not disappoint. We got to see the views when the blinds were lifted but...by then the food had almost outdone the view. Thanks for your first class service.
A wonderful time had. We knew it would be expensive, and we were hoping it would be worth it. Cafe Sydney exceeded our expectations. Magnificent view, beautiful food. The whole experience was wonderful. The staff were all lovely, particularly our waiter Eddie.

We came for a birthday lunch and as per previous visits the experience was excellent. Great, professional attentive service, extensive menu and delicious food. It's not cheap, but a dependable option for a special occasion.
