I have a spontaneous dinner. as we walk in the city, we noticed that many restaurants were closed. theopano was open and there was a handful of people in whose inner seem to enjoy their experience. So we have joined them. the restaurant felt a bit. first, because we were the only people in our secrecy. However, the staff was very friendly and quickly made us feel like at home. the menu is easily navigated and offers something for everyone, including a vegetarian option. we chose a few dishes, were brought a few free bread and distributed, followed by our drinks. the food arrived quickly. not too fast, where one suspects that everything was in the back and only needed to be reheated. not too...
The Guide Michelin recommends restaurant Theophany in Quedlinburg. What we did not know is that there are two Theophany´s in Quedlinburg. We ended in the terrible Thophano at Markt. The menu is minimalistic and I have ordered Wuerzfleisch or Ragout Fin. I received a bowl...with tasteless shredded chicken in a undefinable brownish something topped with melted gouda cheese. This came along with a bottle of Worcester Sauce and two slices of white bread. The service is very friendly but I strongly recommend not to eat anything in this restaurant. My wive had pasta with beef ordered and also could not finish it because it was so bad tasting. I do not believe they have a professionall chef there.
My wife and I stopped for an evening meal in the beautiful market square. The choice was very limited but we ordered schnitzel with chips and a salad and pork with beans and roast potatoes. The food came but the schnitzel had seen better days...and the chips were really dry. My 3 bits of pork came with green beans wrapped in Parma ham and sauté potatoes. My beans were only half the length of the other peoples we saw and were really rather dull. The food was uninspiring the price with a coke and a small beer was €35 which was a lot for what we received compared to other restaurants in the area. Needless to say we never went back again.
This is an apparently nice restaurant at the main Plaza in Quedlinburg (Markt). I visited Quedlinburg last year and when I saw the place I thought it was a good idea to have dinner there. Not many customers at dinner time (19:30). However, it took...about 25 min to take an order (strange feeling, I thought I was invisible) and 30 more to bring the food (that was good, by the way, goulasch and some pasta). Good local beer. Will not return, quite a few options around.

we traveled to goslar, leipzig and praque, no eating exceeded the quality, taste and eating our Sunday dinner on the market on the cool september night. my salmon could not have been better prepared... roasted salmon with pumpkin, root vegetables,...and kartoffel washabi style... that was the heaven. my wife enjoyed a menu special pork leaf with kartoffel dumplings. the black had crispy skin and was butter delicate. one of the better meals we have experienced.
We stopped here for a late lunch while travelling through Quedlinburg, an exquisite UNESCO World Heritage city. Atmosphere on the market square was lively and picturesque. The food was satisfactory (I had herring, my friends had the salmon special, my husband had something vegetarian ...possibly baked Camembert and filling. Service was friendly and prompt.
Had a nice relaxed late lunch in the outside area on the town square. Quick and helpful service, though our server only spoke German. Decent tasting food,one of us had the mozzarella/tomato salad and the other the currywurst off the small plate menu. The espresso...with vanilla eis and sahne was the perfect ending.
as in most German restaurants, the kitchen was closed between 2 and 5 clocks. unfortunately they do not offer snacks. I could only be sweet. but I enjoyed their delicious coffee, friendly staff, fast service and above all a fantastic view of the...square and the rat house from outside sitting.

Well placed on the square. Good for people watching. Restaurant itself a bit ordinary but plenty to look at. Service efficient friendly. Food average, although we ate off the menu, we seemed to get what the table d'hote offered. Ok but nothing special.
