I have only good news about Café Tietmeier at the Schlossstrasse in Bad Bentheim. The outdoor tables in the afternoon sun beckoned when we were strolling down the Schlossstrasse after admiring Bad Bentheim Castle. Café Tietmeier is a typical German Bakery with a large counter...and extensive sit-down area, where you can get anything like bread, a large selection of cakes, sausage rolls, coffee, tea, a light lunch etc. Beside the bakery products the Café Tietmeier seemed to specialize in Bavarian food like Weisswurst and Leberkäs The coffee and cake were delicious (I had selected my favorite cake, Sachertorte and the service was efficient and polite. To be recommended.
We stopped in here on a cloudy day for a bit of lunch. It was a good choice. The food (a schnitzel and goulash soup) was first rate and really did the trick. Service was quick and friendly. The toilets were spotless. But, the best...was yet to come. We took away an armload of delicious pastries and baked goods to enjoy later. It may have been a cloudy day but, Cafe Tietmeier was like a ray of sunshine in the otherwise darkened skies.
We had coffee here with cakes, very nice, everything looked fresh. The next day we had lunch, also very agreeable. The place is nicely decorated and clean staff is friendly, prices are okay.
Nice people. good service. Nice coffee, but not the best. Nice Kuchen with almond and strawberry . There also were dead flies in the window. The toilets were clean. Good price.

My girlfriend and I came across this café with Spezialitäten aus der Backstube und Konditorei We had a coffee and a kind of Wiener petit-four. Nice clean café with kind staff.
Very cozy, very nice service and a wide selection of cakes and cakes! It was a great visit!
