As of November 16, 2025 The cafeteria at the Harz Clinic in Quedlinburg currently has very limited opening hours. According to the posted schedule, the following hours will apply from August 19, 2025: Monday to Friday: 7:30–8:30 a.m. and 11:30 a.m.–3:00 p.m. Saturday: Closed Sunday: 12:00–3:00 p.m. These short hours demonstrate how difficult it is to recruit enough staff for early, late, and weekend shifts. This is perfectly understandable, as this work is demanding and often underestimated. I would have liked to post something else. But unfortunately, the cafeteria closes at 3 p.m., just when visiting hours begin, and that's the case every day. Then you should just leave it alone. Staff shortages or not. There are no alternatives, like vending machines with fresh baguettes or cakes.
Hätte gerne etwas anderes gepostet. Aber leider schließt die Cafeteria um 15 Uhr, wenn die Besuchszeit erst anfängt und das jeden Tag. Dann sollte man es lassen. Personalmangel hin oder her. Es gibt ja auch keine Alternative, z. B. Automaten mit frischen belegten Baguettes oder Kuchen.

Vor nicht ganz 6 Monaten habe ich hier zu meiner positiven Überraschung selbstgemachte Kartoffelsalat genossen. Heute gab es den fertig und eine Bockwurst, deren Haut Extrem fest war. Zwei Mal Bockwurst mit ekligem Fertigkartoffelsalat für 16, €… Respekt!!! Ich komme nicht wieder.
Not quite six months ago, to my pleasant surprise, I enjoyed homemade potato salad here. Today I had the ready-made one and a Bockwurst with an extremely tough skin. Two Bockwursts with disgusting ready-made potato salad for €16... Damn!!! I won't be back.
