We only knew this busy place existed thanks to other TripAdvisor users. It's a canteen. Customers take a tray and queue for food and the place crammed mostly with locals. The seating is comfortable without pretension, or real style and the tables were comfortably high. There is out door seating too. And yes, the friendly manic manager that other users mention was there and yes he was impressive, multi tasking away at a great pace. All the staff were friendly and they genuinely seemed to be enjoying being busy including the manic manager. All the food looked very good, and there was a pretty extensive choice. We started coming here as it is very convenient after a good value shop. The tall manager is a genuine comedian and he doesn 't realise that he might be a distant relative of the infamous Basil Fawlty! He is always charmant and runs around at breakneck speed. We are usually starving at opening time but being a perfectionist we have to wait till all it fully correct. Also reminded me of Basil! Without doubt, eating here is always a pleasure because it 's the best Canteen type food as the quality is always very good and the staff remind me of John Lewis partners with their excellent attitude. I expect to see this increase in popularity now that the secret 's out that it 's a great treat to see...
