I placed an online order and went to pick it up. There are two side to the small counter, both well marked with multiple signs reading “order” and the one end and “pick up” at the other. The pickup side has multiple signs and also the signs for Grubhub and online order stuff. I showed up a little early then the latest pickup time and was waiting in the pick up area. The counter is small so I know the girl saw me, but it seemed like she was actively avoiding looking at me. I waited about ten minutes assuming she must know there’s nothing ready or something, and maybe that’s why she didn’t ask me my name for the order. But after I realized there was an order on the back counter I finally went...
I ordered the 3 bean chili at Caffé Bene and was puzzled by a large chunk in the soup that seemed to take up most of the dish. When I reached out to Caffé Bene, they couldn't even identify the mystery ingredient in their own soup and mentioned that it might come from a vendor. The smell of the soup was not pleasant, and I couldn't ignore the fact that I could only see one type of bean in it, despite it being advertised as three bean chili. I was disappointed by the unexpected chunk in the soup, and it made me question how it passed quality control at the restaurant. While I generally enjoy Caffé Bene, I will avoid ordering soups from them in the future. I didn't want to give them a low ratin...
i decided to give this place a second chance after they served me a frozen açaí bowl (i had to throw it out bc i couldn’t eat it. i decided to order something different and thought maybe it’ll be good, i ordered a pesto chicken panini… and they gave me half of the panini. what did they do with the other half??? this is not worth $10. i will not be coming back. there are many other cafes in queens that have just as good if not better food at a more affordable price.
Overpriced on everything. I love me a good croissant. Always buy one in every bakery i go to. I bet an arm and a leg that they purchase their croissant from 7-11 and package it in a clear plastic bags to make it look fancy. Close to $4 for this. Definitely not worth it. I paid $5 in the city for a way better made croissant. Place is clean and service was good. Probably won't come back here.

We visited an intriguing restaurant where we ordered the plate dinners. I had scrambled eggs with bacon, a croissant, and a salad with an Asian-style dressing. My companion chose scrambled eggs, turkey bacon, British-style pork and beans, and the same salad with the Asian dressing. It was a one-of-a-kind breakfast experience overall.
I ordered a small taro bubble tea for $6 and it was not even placed in the correct container with a proper lid. I had to poke a hole in the lid with my finger just to insert the straw. The tapioca bubbles were extremely hard and not enjoyable to chew. This restaurant is overpriced for the low quality of drinks and food they serve.
Caffe Bene has excellent service, friendly staff with wonderful food and beverage selections. Recently switched to decaf coffee (doctor's orders and they make the BEST freshly brewed decaf coffee (best price too! , made to order. Great location highly recommend!
The cafe is awesome. But management need to make sure that when they train their staff for weeks or months that the staffs are compensated.
