Stopped in here while waiting for my girlfriend who had an appointment at the nearby Kaiser. I walked past a lot of places to get here and I am glad I did. The inside felt cozy and comfortable, the kind of place you want to get a coffee a pastry, sit down with a book and waste a few hours. It is going to take time to prepare your drink, longer than the big chains but you can't rush a good coffee you know. They had a nice selection of pastries that all looked good but I was here for lunch. I grabbed a menu which had a lot of options available. Pasta, pizza, breakfast foods, sandwiches and panini's. I am so disappointed. This use to be my favorite and I would come here weekly. I can tell you a few things that changed. This avocado breakfast is super greasy. The egg use to be sunny side and almost cooked like it was poached. The bread was overcooked amd the potatoes are no longer the purples, reds, and light brown medley with rosemary seasoning. I also use to have arugula included as a garnish and the presentation use to be so much better. I would have rated them a 4.5 if they still told their chef to prepare it the way they use to. The customer service was just....blah. The bartender never smiled and didn't even look people amd make a connection.
The restaurant is a casual local cafe that offers indoor and outdoor seating. It's a great place for studying or casual meetups. The service is more on the self-service side, so you'll need to clean up after yourself, despite the tipping culture. The food is excellent, with a variety of pastries and sweets. The drinks are larger than those at other coffee shops. They also offer seasonal specialties like cast iron frittata, which is delicious and definitely worth coming back for.
I thought this place was an Italian espresso bar, but remained disappointed. I asked the participant if her Eclairs were filled with Custard I wanted, and she didn't know to ask someone who told her it was. It turned out to be filled with generic whipping cream and covered with cheap over sweet chocolate and the pastry was dry and hard. I also ordered a quad Americano and she gave me a quad espresso. I was wasted $10 as an Italian American, I suggest you don't go anywhere.

Great cafe to spend an afternoon! Love how many food options there is and the desserts were tasty! The cafe offers outdoor seating which is perfect on a sunny day. Although I do have to warn you the pigeons there will steal you food and a few of them are pretty aggressive... they keep coming back and I couldn?t chase them away? Keep a close eye on your delicious meal ?
Mmmm, very tasty! I had the hash, which was hearty and delicious (had to take some home to save for lunch). My husband had the bacon and egg sandwich which he very much enjoyed. Coffee was excellent, and staff were very friendly. Definitely would go back next time I'm in the area.
The one coffee shop that had outlets! I went to two others before. It's pretty small and alive. Not modern got more of a different style. I only had orange juice, but I saw Simone Order Lasagne and it looked good.
Beautiful artwork on walls, interior and exterior seats, spacious. Good coffee and sweet snacks
