I drop my partner at work in the morning and he pays me with breakfast from here. Service is great, they are always energetic and happy to see you which is good to feed off in the mornings. <br/ <br/ They do a pretty delicious bacon and egg roll- the buttery roll, smokey BBQ sauce- yum. They are always happy to change things up and make you things off the menu, I love it. I also love the $10 lunch specials, this week is a schnitty burger with chips- in the past its been schnitty, chips and salad. I am yet to try their wrap and juice combo but it looks pretty decent. I really like that they have a mix of healthy and bad food- its all about balance.
My partner ordered the Amazonia smoothie, which had a refreshing taste, but she found it too acidic. I, on the other hand, enjoyed it and thought it was reasonably priced at $7.50. I would give it a 3.5 or 4 out of 5.
I ordered my usual dirty chai latte, and it was probably the best one I've had in Fortitude Valley. It had a perfect balance of bitterness from the coffee, the warm chai spices, and a hint of sweetness, all topped off with frothy milk. I would rate it a 4 out of 5.
Overall, while I wasn't overly impressed with the menu, if I happen to walk by this restaurant again, I would definitely stop in for a coffee.
I work in fortitude Valley 540 Wickham Street. Etto Cafe is pretty much my local coffee shop. They make typical Cafe food, coffee is passable staff are friendly. They do pork sandwiches to make on a week basis are their signature. Fresh bread and crackle or noteworthy. They provide nice clean tables and outside eating options. I don't rave about this place, but it's handy when you're in need of a quick eat. Pricing has always been on the high side, meal sizes are reasonable.
Don't be fooled by the greasy spoon look of Etto. Yes, it is "fast food" and yes it looks like a grubby takeaway joint but they do good food at good value and a friendlier bunch of people working behind the counter of a "fast food" joint would be hard to find. It is popular with the office workers from surrounding buildings (mostly engineering types) and does a good breakfast and a good lunch and good coffee. But most of all they do friendly, responsive and helpful service

After having tried the other options in the immediate vicinity I gave Café Etto a shot. Haven't gone anywhere else since. Eating lunch there every day is now my SOP. The quality of the food is excellent and the staff are friendly, gracious and professional. They must have photographic memories as they got my name the first go and remembered it ever since! An absolutely great place for morning coffe or lunch - highly recommended.
I go to Caffe Etto pretty much everyday! I work close by, so I get multiple cups of coffee every week and sometimes splash out and get food.I am always so impressed by how friendly the staff are and the coffee is always on point.If you are in the Valley or just visiting, check Etto out :)
I came to the Etto caffe with a friend to find something for lunch around 1 pm. Price is ok for a warm sandwich and has comfortable table arrangements outside and protected from the rain. A nice place with good selection for a quick mid-day snack.
Try this coffee, it's the best, friendly staff, excellent food, at the right price, coffee is fantastic. Beast in the Valley
