I ordered a takeaway order at 6.30pm for collection at 8pm. My husband arrived at 8pm to collect it and had to wait for an hour and 25 mins while they served the restaurant. When he got home at 9.45 with the pizzas they were...cold. The garlic bread was stale, you couldn’t chew it-that stale. The pizza were a bit better but the pepperoni tasted and looked not right. I didn’t eat it. They didn’t taste like authentic italian pizzas The chicken Parmesan was huge but heavily laden with cheese, the chips were few. They gave my husband the order at half price after he told them my 12 year old daughter was at home waiting for this treat. But to be honest I would have been aggrieved if I had paid full price. I chose Sergio ‘s as a returning customer as I had eaten there many times before in the restaurant and found the menu authentically Sardinian Italian. I don’t understand why they can’t extend that quality to their takeaways instead of serving up a British version of an italian menu. (Chicken Parmo and doughy pizzas heavily laden with cheese). This is not the quality I expected from Sergio’s. The Italians don’t eat like this. Their pizzas are light, fresh and healthy. If I wanted an American style pizza I would of gone to a big brand or bought a frozen one. I feel cheated and won’t be returning. Not only that my husband said there was no Covid safe or warm place to wait. So he was absolutely freezing when he got home a free standing by an open door. Not the experience we anticipated at 6.30pm !! In their defence it was very busy but busyness is business. It’s not good customer service to keep customers waiting for so long. They should have called me back at 6.30pm and said they were fully booked and said they wouldn’t be able to fulfill my order within the timeframe or cease doing takeaways at peak times if the kitchen can’t cope.

we started to share with a bruschetta as starter, as most Italian decent size components operate. the price is reasonable £4,95 when it came, it wasn't brot, but a poppodom with a small basilikum sauce and 10p of the tomaten....The main courses, both tasty enough, but runny soße, which gives the impression that the kitchen staff need to increase their game and ask, I would like to pay for it. it wasn't the worst food we ever had, but we won't go back because there are many places that sergios easily beat.

we arrived, ordered our starter, who was part of the potato skins, and it took almost an hour to get in. we ordered parmos to come another 30 minutes after our starters. the parmos were soggy and the hunch was very rubbery. our chips did not come with our parmos and we had to ask for our chips. it took one because for our bill too. the service was slow and the food was best moderate. it was disappointed how other reviews here sin the restaurants praise. don't waste your time or your money!

at the arrival we waited for a confirmation for 5 minutes. then we waited 15 minutes for our food order. After an hour we finally got our main courses. eating even pizzas was nice, but the food experience... was bad because of the long waiting period.
