I was really taken aback by all the great reviews, so I decided to give this restaurant a try. I've been here twice in the past few months. The first time, I had a terrible pasta dish. This time, I decided to order a sandwich instead. I figured it's pretty hard to mess up a sandwich, as long as you know how to put it together properly. Everyone knows that you should always layer the meat and cheese at the bottom and top of the sandwich to prevent the tomatoes from making the bread soggy. However, that was not the case here. I asked the woman making my sandwich to do it correctly, but instead of fixing it, she just asked when I wanted to take it. I won't be coming back here again.
I have seen the negative reviews as well as the good ones would like to add some balance. This cafe is under new management and were still going through the 'teething' stage when my friend and I visited for breakfast. We both had variations of poached eggs with accompaniments. Admittedly they were a little slow with the preparation and forgot to butter the toast, but the staff were friendly and were trying so hard, I simply have to give them another chance. I suppose the thing is to let them know if they don't meet your expectations, without being rude about it!

We ordered different dishes and although the service was a bit slow and they forgot to butter the toast, the staff were friendly and made an effort. I believe it's important to communicate your expectations without being rude, so I will give them another chance.

During our three-day trip to Sydney, we had breakfast at Caffetini every morning. The food was delicious with a wide variety to choose from, and the staff was incredibly friendly.
We spent three days in Sydney and all three breakfasts had in Caffetini. Food was very tasty and there was plenty to choose from. Also the staff was very friendly.
Super charming little bakery/deli/grocery store full of nice, happy employees, enticing baked goods and tasty high-end grocery and deli items.
Lovely café tucked away a bit. Good service. Light and airy premises. Food is really tasty and well priced. Would go back.

visited the caffe with few friends and we all loved their burgers. it was delicious. very friendly staff also!
Surprised to find this place full of people on a cool weekday afternoon.
