Cafofo Pub - Reserva de mesa

Cafofo Pub is located in the beating heart of Botafogo's nightlife, in the middle of all the other pubs and restaurants next to the metro station. The pub was recommended by friends and did not at all disappoint. I am always curious for pubs in Rio that have the right ambience (which means no excessive lighting and the absence of good music). Cafofo pub has it all. A nice and cosy interior and nice rock music. Besides that the food is great, not just something to chew on while your drinking, but high quality and tasty food. I think Cafofo is great, but in my opinion they have some issues. They are always crowded and since they became famous in Botafogo the price raised up to fast, and doesn't look like a pub anymore just like a fancy regular bar in Zona Sul. Eu acho o Cafofo otimo e recomendk, mas eles tem alguns problemas. Estao sempre cheios demais e desde que ficou famoso em Botafogo os preços subiram muito rapido, quem sempre foi deve ter perceido. A diversão lá é garantida e o atendimento é ótimo mas esteja disposto a gastar.

Great atmosphere, and when the staff get to know you, they accept your order that is usually a hack (beer) and often some food. I usually sit outside where it is warm and gets pretty full. I was inside to check it and it seems more like an American bar. Food is very good. Very recommended

Um defeito da maior parte dos bares na nelson mandela: as vezes enche tanto que fica difícil circular. Isso contribui para dificultar um pouco o atendimento. De qualquer forma, dos bares da rua que eu conheço o cafofo é o mais amplo. Boa comida e boa bebida.

Nice ambiance. Good beer list! If you like porters that taste like a chocolate chip cookie ice cream sandwiches, then get the Colorado Demoiselle. Expect to pay more here, and get a table early if you want to hang out for a while.
