Review of the restaurant: The overall experience at the restaurant was a mixed bag. The food, in general, was just okay. I started with the cured salmon, which unfortunately wasn't as fresh as I had hoped. However, the haddock and chips dish was highly disappointing; the fish lacked flavor, and the chips were far from being great. Regarding the service, I must say that the barman was quite rude. I placed my order at the bar, and instead of coming over to me to take it properly, he simply pointed from where he was standing. It would have been more courteous if he had walked the short distance to ask for my order directly. Throughout the interaction, he appeared disinterested and unenthusiasti...
We walked in for dinner. It was busy but they have a great system where they give you a buzzer to notify you when a table is ready. We were able to have a drink at the bar before moving through for dinner. Lots of choice and also an individual gluten free menu which was great. Very generous portions, good food and top service we would definitely come back.
Attended for lunch, there was a 30min wait for a table but we were allowed to wait in lounge and received a buzz on the pad they give you to let you know it's ready. Food was delicious and reasonably priced. Myself and my partner took our young child with us and was great to see baby changing facilities in men's and ladies toilets.
Had a meal in the restaurant and a couple of beers in the bar. The food was the best we have had for a while. Staff helpful and friendly. Prices are reasonable for the quality of food they serve. Would highly recommend. Had to wait dor a table so maybe book in advance but we'll worth the wait
