We came to Cais for the first time in July 2020 when we were able to travel from Britain to Portugal for the first time since the beginning of the pandemic. Our regular Quarteira Old Town Hunt had closed, and we went past this, thought it looked pretty sweet... and my God, it's something if not the best food we've ever eaten, and not just in Portugal. We come back several times on each trip. It's a dream. This trip alone, in December, we came 4 times in 3 days... probably almost 20 times in 2 1/2 years. The daily specialties are phenomenal. My partner and I have been coming to Cais since their first opening (about 2 years ago). We absolutely loved it from the first visit. The food is always delicious, the staff is friendly, the service is great, and the atmosphere is really nice. The restaurant is located directly at the entrance of the old town of Quarteira, about a 5-minute walk from the sea from the tourist traps. It caught our eye first as it has a beautiful outdoor seating area with plants that drape over the entrance. encantador pequeno restaurante numa rua pedonal em Quarteira. chegamos para um almoço tardio e esperamos vários minutos na frente do restaurante antes de finalmente procurar alguém para nos sentar. como alguns comentários indicaram, o serviço pode ser lento, mas eles são calorosos e amigáveis. não recebemos menus, apenas fomos informados sobre as três entradas especiais do dia. teria gostado de mais opções, mas talvez tenha sido devido ao atraso em que chegamos. minha lasanha de atum estava saborosa, e as batatas fritas e o arroz estavam ótimos, mas o marido achou que a vitela estava um pouco mastigável. geral ótimo valor, atmosfera agradável e serviço amigável.
Carla and Diogo were so kind and inviting , proper portugal welcome we left the marina to get tapas here and it was so worth it chicken wings were amazing all tapas were fabulous but the staff made it they were so extra friendly and welcoming it was a really lovely experience , I have a phobia of cats they tried to keep the cat away at all times it was appreciated , sangeria also very nice defiently would recommend Reserva una mesa ahora
My husband and I preordered the cataplama as recommended by our bartender at Via Gale Ampulia. The seafood stew was delicious. We asked for and promptly received spoons to scoop up the delicious fish broth. We enjoyed talking with owners Carla and her husband who was very friendly and shared the local experience with us. Really made our time in the Algarve more authentic.
we visited this bar twice in vilamoura and had a great time at both locations. the staff was very friendly and helpful, the drinks (sangria) were delicious and it is a really comfortable, safer place to sit outside and enjoy a drink. it certainly does not hurt that it is very favorable. we can only recommend it!
